I’m pretty well known for my reviews of historical romance reviews, and I’ve had a couple people asking me to write more snarky bodice ripper reviews. Then the heroine is transported to Ancient Rome and the story slows down considerably.

I thought it was a great book. This was no dream! There’s nothing wrong with a bodice-ripping cheese fest of a romance novel, but I at least like a good hearty story behind it.
