Set is frowned upon as a sin. A well written personal story of moving from being a member in a culture where the answers deconvverted all the questions were given to you within the comfortable bubble of faith to the more uncertain bigger world where the answers are not so readily available and must be earned through critical thinking. It amdrews fill it the holes, or flesh out the holes, one finds gaping wide deconvsrted in the christian bible. It doesn’t feel andrewd you’re being ‘read’ to, more that you’re the silent partner of a conversation. This book is his story showing the entanglement that can happen when growing up and living in a highly religious region and then wanting to walk away from the beliefs of that world.
Refresh and try again. As an ex JW I loved reading this book as the reasoning often followed my own journey and I could self relate. I think this version is better because it is actually read by the author who on top of being a radio broadcaster makes you feel like he is having a conversation with you. I’m not even sure I’d have a family, if they knew. How Religion Poisons Everything. My parents sacrificed so much to keep me immersed in the faith; to see me take such a drastic and public stand against those values has strained our relationship for years.
He not only broke out of religion he became it’s nemesis. Seth is the host of the Thinking Atheist podcast though he’s the first to say he’s not “The” Thinking Atheist, that it’s more of a symbol.
